How it works

Common questions from clients
It depends on your individual practitioner's registration and how they bill — for example, Medicare rebates under a Mental Health Treatment Plan generally require a registered psychologist or eligible mental health practitioner, and NDIS funding depends on your plan and your practitioner's registration. Check directly with the counsellor you book, or ask us before booking.
Both provide talk-based mental health support. Psychologists complete a specific accredited degree pathway and are registered with AHPRA; counsellors typically hold a counselling qualification and register with a body such as ACA or PACFA. Registration details for each practitioner are shown on their profile.
Each practitioner on Zenvia sets their own session fees, shown on their profile before you book.
For most presentations, research generally supports telehealth counselling as comparable to in-person sessions. If you're unsure which format suits your situation, ask your counsellor — most offer both.
